Bee Observation

Come and see our Bee Observation hive. Watch the activity inside the hive and learn about the roles of the bees within the hive. Masks required inside the bee room. Bring a water bottle $3 Be sure to sign up prior to the program and limited to 8 people. $5 parking. 478-763-2759.

Hard Labor Creek State Park - Rutledge, GA
Work by yourself or as a family team to create your very own shelter using the forest around you (surrounding sticks, branches, vines). Then, learn helpful skills about fire building and tying knots. All supplies provided. Geared towards people 6 years and older. Space limited to 10 participants. Preregistration and social distancing required. $10 plus $5 parking. 706-557-3001.

Join a Ranger on this 5 mile hike on a moderate to strenuous dirt trail. Enjoy the scenery of rolling hills and gentle cascading streams. Bring a camera to record your journey, water, and a light lunch or snacks. Recommended for active people over 10 years old. Come get started with your New Year’s resolutions; by joining us on a pet-friendly ranger-led hike. On the hike we will explore the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps and Alexander H.
