Status: Archived Meet at the Large Group Camp -10 minutes from the campground for an half-mile walk down to Lake Franklin. Listen to an amphibian concert and look for eggs, tadpoles, and adults. Learn who is splashing about. Geared towards ages 4 & up. Not stroller accessible. No lakeside restroom. Bring a flashlight.
Follow signs to the Large Group Camp and the Horse Stables which is a left turn off of Kings Gap Road coming from the Park Office or Pine Mountain. Continue past the closed Horse Stable gate until you see the Ranger residence. Turn right into the Large Group Camp and follow the frog signs. Fee for ages 4 and up. Bring correct change or pay at the office and bring receipt.
