Intro to Tree Identification

Join an Americorps Ranger on this 2 to 4 mile hike and learn about the wide variety of trees that grow in the Georgia Piedmont region. Learn ID characteristics like leaves, bark, form, and habitat. We will cover all the basics from pines to oaks and plenty in between.

Meet at the Visitor's Center at least 10 minutes before the program starts. Don't forget water, hiking shoes, and notebook with pencil if you care to take notes or make sketches. Be prepared for a moderate hike.


$3 per hiker. Pay at the Visitor's Center before we depart. Bad weather will cancel this outdoor program.
