Plantation History Trail - Girl Scouts Love State Parks Day

Jarrell Plantation Historic Site - Juliette, GA
Take a walk back in time on our half-mile history trail and explore the cotton plantation's 25 original buildings and 125 year history. Enjoy guided house tours and hands on farm skill activities and crafts along the way. This program requires pre-registration. Programs start at 9 am and 1 pm. $1.50-$7 478-986-5172.

It’s Your State Parks Day, a day to show you care about GA State Parks! What better way to do that than by helping beautify the park. Possible projects include repainting kiosks, benches, and fences, and removing graffiti from our overlooks. Please help give our park a facelift! Etowah Indian Mounds Historic Site - Cartersville, GA
Celebrate National Public Lands Day and Yous State Parks Day by volunteering. Volunteers get free admission. Volunteers are needed to help with the yearly clean-up. Work projects vary from year to year, but generally include flower bed maintenance and cleaning, mulch spreading, and trail maintenance. $2 - $6. 770-387-3747.

Little White House Annual Clean up-Your State Parks Day

Roosevelt's Little White House Historic Site - Warm Springs, GA
Volunteers are being sought to help out with weeding flower beds, removing spider webs and cleaning outside museum and grounds. Gloves and tools will be provided. Admission Fee is free for those who volunteer. 706-655-5870.

Enjoy a day of volunteering with the staff and the "Friend's of Victoria Bryant State Park" we will be working towards beautifying and managing our forest.
