Status: Archived Learn about the life of the common soldier who fought in Georgia. Park staff portraying soldiers will display the items soldiers carried while marching and fighting in north Georgia in 1864. This program will focus on the Illinois 89th whose famous battle cry was "Clear the Tracks"!

Located Take I-20 exit #44. Turn onto Thornton Road. (Highway 278) Follow Highway 278 West for 10 miles. Make a right onto Highway 92. Travel North on Highway 92 for approximately 6 miles. Look for brown Pickett's Mill signs as you continue. Turn left onto Due West Road. Continue 2 miles. Turn right onto Mount Tabor Church Road. Travel half a mile and the site on the right.
