Georgia's First Dig - The Story of the Nacoochee Indian Mound

Hear about the first professional archaeological dig in Georgia with Archaeologist Max White, PhD. The Nacoochee Indian Mound was partially excavated in 1915. Questions about who built it and what was discovered will be addressed, as well as the significance of the dig.

Admission: $5 per person. Add a tour for $7.

Hardman Farm is located at the intersection of Highways 17 and 75, one mile south of Helen. The temporary entrance is on Highway 75 just north of the intersection.
Some GPS units will mistakenly take you into downtown Helen.
