Status: Archived Join a ranger guided hike, off trail, near the Suwannee River Sill where we will explore the dark, forested bottomlands that surround the beginning of the Suwannee River. We will look for "cat faces" left over from a time when turpentiners walked these woods and watch for white tailed deer and other wildlife sneaking off in the distance.
This hike does not follow a trail. We will be off any trails and in the woods. Wet, mucky areas may be encountered. Closed toe shoes are required. Waiver must be signed. Bring water, bug spray, boots or other closed toe shoes, and a sense of adventure.
We will meet at the Suwannee River Sill.
Park in Suwannee River Sill parking lot at the end of paved sill road.
