Mornings with the Naturalist

Spend your morning at Fort Yargo State Park! Ages 13 and older are invited to join the Naturalist and Guest Speakers to explore the wonder of the park. Activities include but are not limited to: bird watching, nature hikes, nature journals, wildlife sciences, stream ecology, and more!

Activities and hikes will vary month to month. We will post activity or hike details closer to the date of each program. Some activities may have a cost associated with them and will be posted with the activity details. Park pass required.  May:"If Tree Ring Could Talk". During this 1 mile guided hike we will discuss tree rings and how they help us better understand the environmental conditions that trees have grown in. **Meet at the Old Fort** June: Georgia Forest Watch Presentation. Learn more Georgia Forests and the how they are being protected! **Meet at the Visitors Center** July: ¡Únase a David Guzmán, del Parque Estatal Hard Labor Creek, para una caminata guiada de una milla en español!
