Hike with a park ranger for National Trail Day to learn fun facts about the gopher tortoise, the official reptile of the Sate of Georgia. Learn fun things like the right way to help a turtle cross the road and visit gopher tortoise burrows as we hike 2.5 miles through a long leaf pine forest.

Event is open to guests of all ages. Trail is accessible to large tired strollers. Dogs welcome as long as they are on a 6 ft. leash. Meet at the trail head near cottage #1. Advance registration advised.
