Status: Archived Experience the majesty of a meteor shower right from your kayak. We will paddle to a low-light spot that will offer optimal viewing conditions.Last year's event was spectacular, featuring a clear sky full of stars over the lake with colorful meteors blazing trails across the horizon.
Advance registration required. Tour spots are on a first come first served basis.Call or stop by the office to reserve a spot. Event is open to everyone 6 and up who can swim. Canoes/kayaks and life jackets and paddles are provided. Meet at the boat ramp. Flashlights are required and don't forget to bring drinking water and bug spray. This is a moderate skill level event. We may be paddling up to 7 miles round-trip. Due to the distance of the event, tour will be cancelled if inclement weather is within 60 miles of the park at event start time.

From Tallahassee (approx. 1 hour, 10 minutes) take Highway 27 north into Bainbridge then Highway 253/Spring Creek Road west.
