Chestnuts on an Open Fire & Tall Tales

We'll be warming up by the fire while roasting chestnuts and marshmallows, telling tall tales, solving riddles & hearing the true story of the plight of the American Chestnut. Meet at the Assembly Shelter. Follow this program with back to back Stargazing & Hot Chocolate.

Taste a freshly roasted Chestnut and learn of new efforts underway to restore the Mighty American Chestnut Tree.

Located 7 miles northeast of Lincolnton on Highway 378.
GA State Route 378 construction has begun on the bridge between Lincolnton, GA and McCormick, SC. This construction will impact traffic coming to Elijah Clark State Park. Traffic is being routed from GA Highway 47 on to Chamberlin Ferry Road to GA Highway 220 to State Route 378. Visitors coming from Augusta and Columbia County on GA Highway 47 east need to turn right onto GA Highway 220 east following it until they reach GA Highway 378 North.
