AmeriCorps First Time Camper Program

Never gone camping in a state park before? Or, has it been awhile since your last camping trip? This is your opportunity to go camping at High Falls State Park for a night and see what it is all about. A schedule of fun activities Saturday & Sunday, use of camping equipment, 1-night camping accommodation, and ranger guidance is provided.

Brush up on your camping skills as we guide you through campsite and tent set-up. Then, participate in activities such as wilderness survival, stargazing, and hiking. Of course, no camping experience is complete without a campfire with s'mores. Cost is $31 for a group of 1-6 people plus a $10 program fee per person. Program runs from 1 pm Saturday to 12 pm Sunday. Spaces are limited. Register and pre-pay to reserve your group's spot by calling the Park Office 8 AM to 4 PM. Email redtop.programmers@dnr.ga.gov with any questions.

Tents & Rain Fly
Ground Protectors (for the tents)
Sleeping Pads
Coleman Stove & Fuel
Lanterns
Sleeping Bags (Very limited number, on first come-first serve basis)
Camping Chairs
