Status: Archived Hike with the park naturalist and learn fun facts about the gopher tortoise, the official reptile of the State of Georgia. Learn fun things like the right way to help a turtle cross the road and visit gopher tortoise burrows as we hike 2.5 miles through a long leaf pine forest.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring drinking water. Meet at the Gopher Tortoise trailhead near cabin #1. Dogs welcome but they must be on a leash. Trail is accessible to strollers with large tires.
