Home School Days at Fort Yargo Ages 5-12

Home School students ages 5-12 are invited to Fort Yargo for an hour of scientific fun! We will cover different topics each session that include but are not limited to: plant biology, wildlife sciences, stream ecology, fishing, and more. $3 per student. Meeting locations will vary. Registration is required.

Please call the park office to register, 770-867-3489. Registration closes 5 days prior to the event date. Refunds can be given within one week of the program date. $3 per student. If younger siblings participate in the activity (are out of a stroller and use materials) parents will need to pay and register them too. $5 park pass is required.

August 16th: Pollinators! It's almost time for the UGA Extension Office's Pollinator Census. During this program we will take a 1 mile hike and search for pollinators. Students will learn to identify various pollinators. **Meeting locations will be disclosed upon registering for the program. Locations, dates, and times are subject to change. Cancellations due to weather will be posted to our Facebook page and parents will be notified via email.**
