Status: Archived Join park staff for Becoming an Outdoor-Woman: Kayaking and Tree Identification. Receive basic instruction in kayaking and safe boating practices and enjoy a trip around the lake. Then take a hike to learn how to identify tree species based on bark texture, leaf shape, and other characteristics. Open to women age 12+. Childcare provided.
This program is open to women of all fitness and kayaking experience levels. Participants must be at least 12 years old. Childcare will be provided in a Junior Ranger Mini-Camp. Children will explore and learn about Indian Springs while you learn about kayaking and tree ID!
Registration is required and space is limited. Contact the park office to register. Fees are due at registration.
$35 per person plus $5 per child for Junior Ranger Mini-Camp
All kayaking equipment will be provided. Please wear appropriate attire for kayaking (quick-dry fabrics, closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen, etc.). You will have time to change before the hike if you get wet. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and a lunch.
