Join Historic Preservation Division - Georgia DNR staff at Hardman Farm State Historic Site as archaeologists welcome members of the public to help excavate, screen for artifacts, and learn about the history of the Sheep Barn at Hardman Farm.

Appropriate for all who are interested in archaeology. Contact Sarah Love, HPD's Archaeology Outreach Coordinator, at sarah.love@dnr.ga.gov for more info! Farm animal fun day will also be hosted in conjunction with this event. Children will also enjoy old fashioned panning for gems.

Hardman Farm is located at the intersection of Highways 17 and 75, one mile south of Helen. The temporary entrance is on Highway 75 just north of the intersection.
Some GPS units will mistakenly take you into downtown Helen.
