Status: Archived The civil war was a difficult time in our history. Camp Lawton Thankful Day will bring history to life with historic talks, cannon shooting, musket firing and reenactors sharing experiences of prison life at the camp. We will conclude with why Abraham Lincoln thought it was important to make Thanksgiving a national holiday in these trying times.
