Status: Archived This mile long, moderate hike will take us down to the scenic highlights of the park. We will sketch and/or photograph the magnificent ruins of the 5 story Civil War era New Manchester Mill. We will also try to capture the beauty of the Sweetwater Creek rapids (up to class IV). Please bring your sketchpad and camera. Meet at the Visitor's Center.
We will supply basic sketching materials for anyone who needs them. Sturdy, closed toe shoes are required.

Take I-20 west from Atlanta, exit #44 at Thornton Road, turn left and go ¼ mile. Turn right on Blairs Bridge Road. After 2 miles, turn left on Mount Vernon Road and proceed to the park.
