Atlatl and Darts Crafting Workshop

The atlatl is an effective piece of ancient hunting technology that has been used by cultures across the globe, including the Native Americans. This class will give you the tools and knowledge need to construct and take home your own atlatl with two darts, as well as receiving throwing instruction. Limited spots available. Call to pre-register.

Weapons utilized for hunting game have been were essential for ancient cultures, the atlatl is one such weapon. Predating the bow and arrow, the atlat is a weighted hooked stick that allows for a dart to be thrown farther and at a higher velocity than by hand. Primitive Arts is proud to host this workshop, and all tools and supplies will be provided. Participants will leave with their own atlatl and darts, and the knowledge needed to keep practicing at home. Andrew Lee, founder of "The Primitive Arts," is an artist with two decades of teaching experience.
