Status: Archived This ranger-led hike will take us through our beautiful Piedmont forest where we will identify trees, flowers, animals, reptiles, and birds on our way to tour the inside of the Civil War era New Manchester Mill. This program requires pre-registration, as space will be limited to less than 10 participants and social distancing will be required.
Sturdy closed-toe shoes are required. This hike follows the red trail down to the magnificent rapids (up to class IV) of Sweetwater Creek. The minimum age for this hike is 6 Years.

Take I-20 west from Atlanta, exit #44 at Thornton Road, turn left and go ¼ mile. Turn right on Blairs Bridge Road. After 2 miles, turn left on Mount Vernon Road and proceed to the park.
