Status: Archived Women served in many capacities during the American Civil War. Many joined the military ranks disguising themselves as men, they served as nurses, spies, artillerymen, and infantry. They fought and died alongside their brethren. Come to the barracks house and listen to heroine tales of adventure and sacrifice.
