Status: Archived When Moravian Missionaries built the first mission to the Cherokees in 1801, they took great joy in offering the gift of a small painting, a hand-painted wreath with an inscription, to Christmas service attendees. This year, bring your homeschooler to the Vann House to make your own hand-painted Moravian-style wreath. No reservation necessary.
Program fee includes paper, paint and examples for this guided-Christmas craft. Attendees will also receive a guided tour of the house. Program will be outdoors if weather permits. Pay upon arrival, arrive between 10am-2pm. Annual passes will not be accepted for this program.
These wreaths were a beloved gift in a time when art and art supplies were not readily available to the average person.
