Status: Archived Join the Flint River Astronomy Club as we investigate the night sky. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the night sky and look through telescopes to see stars, planets, and more. This is a free event and we will meet near the fishing area.
-Participants are highly encouraged to bring red light flashlights to navigate in the darkness.
-The program will occur near the boat ramp/lake fishing area. To get to the program area from the visitor center you will continue on Lake Clark Rd. until it forks. You will take a left at the fork (through the black gates) onto McIntosh Rd. You will then take the first left onto Fishing Area Rd. You will dead-end in the parking area by the boat ramp.
-Please wear sturdy shoes. The bathroom is a few-minute walk from the program area and the program area may still be wet from the recent rain.
There is a rain date of Saturday, August 19th, 2023. A post will be made if the event is moved
