Status: Archived his is a great volunteer opportunity to come and help save Smithgall Woods' Hemlock Trees.
Hemlock trees are in danger of extinction due to the infestation of an invasive insect, the Wooly Adelgid. Hemlocks are a critical species for ensuring water and air quality as well as providing shelter for wildlife.
During this annual event, volunteers will help treat the Hemlocks to ensure they continue to thrive at the park.
