Status: Archived Build your very own survival staff! Come to the Visitor's Center from 12-3pm on March 30th to make a bamboo hiking staff. Outfit it with equipment like fishing wire, paracord, a compass, and other survival essentials. Call the Visitor's Center to pre-register, and don't forget to pay the $5 Parking Pass. $5/person.

From I-85 North or South near Newnan, take Exit 47 Highway 34 (Bullsboro Boulevard). Go west 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Highway 34 Bypass (M. Farmer Industrial Road) at 4-way stop and go 8.2 miles. Turn right onto Thomas Powers Road and go 2.7 miles to a 4-way stop. The road name changes to Hewlett South Road. Continue straight 0.9 miles. Continue straight onto Bud Davis Road and go 1.9 miles. Turn right onto Flat Rock Road. The road name changes to Bobwhite Way. Continue straight to gated entrance of the park.
