This event has already occurred.
Status: Archived Join rangers for special a two-mile hike of the battlefield and see trench systems and rifle pits dug and used by Confederate and Federal soldiers in May, 1864. You will also see a natural waterfall and the site of Pickett's Mill. The hike will finish with a Civil War weapons demonstration including cannon firing.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Located Take I-20 exit #44. Turn onto Thornton Road. (Highway 278) Follow Highway 278 West for 10 miles. Make a right onto Highway 92. Travel North on Highway 92 for approximately 6 miles. Look for brown Pickett's Mill signs as you continue. Turn left onto Due West Road. Continue 2 miles. Turn right onto Mount Tabor Church Road. Travel half a mile and the site on the right.
