Learn the basic movements of kayaking on a safe and peaceful section of Lake Rutledge. Open to visitors 8 years and older who can swim and are new to kayaking. Equipment provided. Space limited to less than 10 participants. Program open to general public including Girl Scouts. Registration begins 8/10/24
Directions to the location will be given after you register. Please bring water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and a change of clothes or a towel. We will not make you tip over or do a rescue from the water (this is not that kind of class), but splashing from paddling may get you wet. Kids younger than 12 years old need to be accompanied by an adult on a tandem kayak. Please be on time as will not wait for tardy attendees.
