Status: Archived Learn about the iron-mining history of Red Top Mountain! This Ranger-led hike will explain historical area and allow you to tour one of our mines. Rangers will point out plants that Pioneers would have used for food and medicine.
Event may be cancelled due to inclement weather. All vehicles require a GA State Park parking pass.
This hike allows you to see Red Top in a new way, by walking you through areas you never knew were historical! Bring water and wear weather-appropriate clothes for hiking a moderate trail.

Directions to Allatoona Pass Battlefield: From Red Top Mountain, take I-75 South to Exit #283. Turn left. Allatoona Pass will be on the left.
