Status: Archived Dr. Bill Witherspoon, co-author of the popular guide "Roadside Geology of Georgia", will present a slide talk and lead a walk on the geology of Indian Springs State Park. The event will begin at 2:00 PM at the Group Shelter.
"Roadside Geology of Georgia" will be available for sale and signing at the event. “Our goal is to take the reader to Georgia’s natural wonders and explain the science that lies behind the scenery,” says Witherspoon, who taught geology for 17 years at Fernbank Science Center.
