Fun With Fungi

Fun with Fungi is an introduction to mushrooms found here in the Southeastern mountains, with special speaker Fred Bradley - Cherokee

This October 3,2020 starting at 10:00 am we will be learning about mushrooms, on which ones can be eaten, which ones are poisonous. How to identify the different types of mushroom. We will first start off with a PowerPoint presentation, at 10:30 am followed with a question and answer session. Then take a walk with Fred Bradley around New Echota, as he explains about the mushrooms, their use, and how to identify them. Afterward sitting at the picnic table, Mr. Bradley will go over pictures taken, comments, questions and a drawing for one of his video's about mushrooms. Please bring garden gloves if possible, camera, notebook, and wear long pants if possible. Admission to the park is $5.50 to $7.00 Park opens at 9:00 am closes at 5:00 pm Questions please contact: friendsofnewechota@gmail.com
