Status: Archived We will be hosting several volunteer opportunities to help spruce up areas of the park. Work parties will be limited to 4-6 volunteers, preregistration is mandatory, so sign up early to ensure you get the project you'd most like to help with. Select event title for a list of volunteer options and what to bring. Call park office to register.
Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing and shoes for working in the sun outdoors, wear bug spray and bring tools if possible. Some tools will be provided as will bottled water.
Options for volunteering:
1. Meadow Fence - aid in planting a living fence line of 1-gallon potted plants around our meadow - bring shovel, spade, gloves
2. Meadow trail - Help pull weeds growing in the new meadow trail - bring spade and gloves
3. Pressure Wash Party - Help spruce up our picnic shelters by pressure washing concrete pads. Pressure washer provided.
4. Clover planting - Help spread seeds in our new clover field to provide forage for park honeybees and wildlife.
5. Trail Clean-up - stroll a trail or two in the park and collect trash - gloves and trash bags provided.
