Visitors can also walk the grounds which includes over 20 original farm buildings, two farm houses, farm animals, a garden, and a mill complex. The cotton boll weevil arrived to Georgia around 1920 and destroyed cotton crops around the state. In this program learn all about the boll weevil and its affects on Georgia's economy and the efforts that eventually eradicated the bug. Experience sugar cane syrup making the old-fashioned way as we cook cane juice in the original kettles and press sugar cane on the steam powered press.
