Create a traditional hands-on craft with a plant native to Panola Mountain -- the Spoonleaf Yucca. Learn how to identify the plant, prepare the plant to harvest the fibers, and twist the fibers into twine to create a bracelet. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Indigo pigment has been used to dye fabrics for thousands of years across cultures and continents. Visit the park anytime between 1PM-4PM (while supplies last) to create your own indigo tie-dyed bandana. This program is a suggested $5 donation towards the Friends of Panola Mountain State Park for the continued care of our public lands. $5 plus $5 parking. 770-389-7801.
