Falling Leaves Sunset Paddle

Most people think we don't get Fall colors here in the swamp but we do! Come see cypress needles turn from green to orange to brown before falling into the black water. We will follow the sunset westwards on Billy's Lake at a leisurely pace and return to the park during twilight. $35 for ages 13+ and $25 for ages 8-12 $5 parking. 912-637-5274.

Are you curious about the residents that lived here before Hard Labor Creek became a state park? Join us for a ranger-led cemetery paddle and hike on a secluded section of the park. Please bring closed toed shoes, water, sunscreen, and bug spray. Limited to 12 participants. Twilight Kayak Tour

Explore Lake Rutledge as we scan the sky and woods looking for wildlife. Watch the changing colors on the water as the sun sets. A ranger will interpret the role the CCC made in creating this great park in the 1930s. Bring water, bug spray and a change of clothes (optional). Join a ranger on a relaxing evening paddle enjoying nature, the night sky, and possibly seeing some wildlife. We provide life jackets, paddles, 2-person canoes, kayaks, paddleboats or john boats. Enjoy a ranger led paddle at night along the beautiful Lake Rutledge under the light of a full Moon. Experience the wonders of nature that are unique to nighttime. Kids must be 8 or older. Bring your own kayak/canoe or rent here. Bring a flash light, bug repellent, a towel/change of clothes and water. Hike and Paddle

Chattahoochee Bend State Park - Newnan, GA
Join the Friends of Chattahoochee Bend for a fun-filled day of hiking and paddling. Hike the 5.5 mile river trail to the north end of the park, where you will stop for a quick break and then paddle down the river to the Day Use area boat ramp. Bring your own kayak or rent one at the park. Meet at the Visitor Center to sign waivers by 8:00 am. $20-$40 $5 parking. 770-254-7271.

Night Kayak-Star Gazing Paddle
