This program will be one of four 2025 programs that will feature protected species at Pickett's Mill Battlefield. Come out and learn about one of our heritage trees, the Longleaf Pine, and participate in actual tree planting with a ranger-led discovery hike. This will be a guided, ranger-led hike on a 1/4 mile shallow section of Pickett's Mill Creek. We will hike, do a macroinvertebrate round-up, and pick up trash along the way. Our goal will be to determine the health of the creek, discover a living ecosystem, and leave it cleaner for the future. Free admission for participants with preregistration. 770-443-7850.
