Tennessee Rock Trail Sunset Haiku Hike

Celebrate National Haiku Day with our Park Rangers on the beautiful 2.2 mile, moderately difficult Tennessee Rock Trail. Learn about some plants you will see along the way, then soak in some inspiration from the sunset while we teach you how to write a haiku. You will have the opportunity to write your own and share it if you'd like. $5 plus $5 parking. 706-746-2141.

Woodworking Class- Make Your Own Milking Stool!

In this beginner-friendly class, participants aged 14+ will learn to make a three-legged milking stool that you will get to take home with you. All materials will be provided, as will detailed instruction by Chris from Bucksaw Woodworks. All you need to bring is a lunch, water, and a willingness to learn! $85 plus $5 parking. 706-746-2141.

Celebrate Earth Day with us by learning about the different layers that make up our planet in the most engaging way possible: we will be making, then eating, layers-of-the-earth pudding cups! Meet at the Mellinger Center in the campground at 4pm. Bring cash to pay at the event, or arrive a couple minutes early to pay at the Trading Post next door. $2 plus $5 parking. 706-746-2141.

Looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day? Join Rangers for an educational walk around our .8 mile Black Rock Lake Trail and learn about a few of the things our Earth has given us to appreciate, just in time for gorgeous golden hour. Wear good shoes to walk in and bring water. Meet at the Black Rock Lake trailhead by the parking area by 6pm. $5 parking. 706-746-2141.
