Watson Mill Bridge History Hike

Join a ranger for a guided hike starting at the covered bridge and ending at the old powerhouse ruins. We will view and talk about the varied historical uses of the land the park occupies today.

This hike will be on mostly level, but unpaved trails which will include roots and some short inclines. This hike will be about .75 miles long. Bring appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. Bring water. The best parking lot will be at the canoe/kayak parking lot. Meet at the base of the bridge on the Oglethorpe County side. Call the park with any questions.

Located 3 miles south of Comer off Highway 22.
Covered bridge has 9-foot maximum clearance. Equestrian campers need to use the park entrance off Highway 72 in Carlton, while traditional campers may use the park entrance off Highway 22 in Comer.
