250th Independence Day Celebration

Step back in time and commemorate the 250th Independence Day with the spirit of 1864! For the first time and 250th only, we will have a special visit from Claude-Étienne Minié. This traditional celebration is filled with captivating living history demonstrations, musket round-making, old-timey games, and an artillery display!

4:00 PM - Guided Kids Tactical Water Battle 4:30 PM - Watermelon Eating Contest 5:00 PM - Musket Round making and meet Claude-Étienne Minié! 5:30 PM - Guilded Civil War Games 6:00 PM - Butter Making 6:30 PM - Cannon Firing Muskets firing throughout the day! Admission is $12 per person, but you receive a discount of $4 off when you visit Fort Morris's celebration earlier in the day! Make sure to tell them you plan to visit Fort McAllister to receive your coupon.
