Our AmeriCorps program runs from August 2017–July 2018. During that time members will deepen their understanding of stewardship ethics and help park visitors make connections to Georgia’s natural and cultural resources through collaboration with talented park personnel across the state. Interpretive members will gain experience as public speakers; developing and implementing unique programming; and strengthening interpretive skills. Resource members will make significant improvements to Georgia’s unique natural resources for their preservation and for the use and enjoyment of all Georgians and visitors. Resource members will sharpen their understanding of resource management principles and methods by participation in invasive species mitigation projects, controlled burns, boundary maintenance and other natural resource areas.
Team Leader Positions
AmeriCorps Team Leaders will motivate, direct, and coordinate members in a structured program of service, education, and training as well as modeling a good service ethic.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- 18+ years of age;
- U.S. Citizen;
- Must have a U.S. Driver’s license.
Preferred (but not required)
College Degree in Outdoor Recreation, Interpretation, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, GIS, Surveying, History or related field. Ability to understand and speak Spanish. (Experience may substitute for degree/certifications)
