Follow in the steps of the CCC - First Day Hike

This Ranger-Led hike will take visitors along the lake banks and gentle ridges. Start the New Year off right with this 2 mile, moderate to rigorous, scenic hike. Bring a camera to record the scenery. Hikes geared toward active adults and children over 8 years old. Register online after November 15.

Moderate to rigorous, 2 mile, scenic hike on natural terrain (no strollers) for ages 8 and up. We'll stop by Camp SP-8, Georgia's only surviving Civilian Conservation Corps Camp. Pets on the leash. Bring water, snacks, comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Location will be shared once you register. No walk-ins for these hikes. Please arrive 20 min early as we will not wait for tardy attendees.
