Archaeology Day at the Vann House

Take part in Archaeology themed activities at the Vann House. Learn about artifacts in our dig-boxes, learn more about ancient pottery by creating your own, see the tools of an archaeologist from KSU, see actual artifacts from the Vann House excavations, talk to archaeologists, and more.

Families can discover "artifacts" in our dig-boxes. Learn about ancient pottery by crafting your own pottery. See tools used by archaeologists, presented by Kennesaw State University's Student Anthropology Club. Speak with state archaeologists and see actual artifacts and maps from the Vann House excavations. Piece together broken artifacts. All activities are included in admission, $7 per person. Activities are outdoors and weather permitting. There is no rain date. Annual passes will not be accepted for this event. There are not currently any professional archaeology digs taking place at the Vann House, and no site digging will take place.
