Status: Archived Join the Friends of Chattahoochee Bend for a fun-filled day of hiking and paddling. Hike the 5.5 mile river trail to the north end of the park, where you will stop for a quick break and then paddle down the river to the Day Use area boat ramp. Bring your own kayak or rent one at the park. Meet at the Visitor Center to sign waivers by 8:00 am.
Please be sure to bring appropriate clothing, a packed lunch, and plenty of water. Sunscreen and insect repellent is recommended. Sign up on the Friends website or pay when you get here. Boat rentals are $20, program is another $20.

From I-85 North or South near Newnan, take Exit 47 Highway 34 (Bullsboro Boulevard). Go west 0.8 miles. Turn right onto Highway 34 Bypass (M. Farmer Industrial Road) at 4-way stop and go 8.2 miles. Turn right onto Thomas Powers Road and go 2.7 miles to a 4-way stop. The road name changes to Hewlett South Road. Continue straight 0.9 miles. Continue straight onto Bud Davis Road and go 1.9 miles. Turn right onto Flat Rock Road. The road name changes to Bobwhite Way. Continue straight to gated entrance of the park.
