For the Birds! How Your Morning Coffee Fuels You and Sustainable Ecology, Too

This event has already occurred.

Status: Archived
Spring migration is on! And birds from Central and South America are soaring back to their breeding grounds in our backyards and far-flung places across North America. If coffee is your thing and those returning chirpers make YOU smile and sing when they alight in your favorite spot each spring, maybe you'd like to know how your morning coffee can help these long-distance crooners by conserving habitat in South America.

Join writer, musician, and international adventurer Josephine Johnson in the Interpretive Center as she discusses what she recently learned in Colombia about migratory birds, high quality habitat, and shade grown vs. sun grown coffee. You'll learn about Bird Friendly coffee, too, and how it protects and saves their habitat cup after cup.

This presentation is interactive--be prepared to move, learn, and sing. There will be musical surprises, as well.
