Homeschool at Panola: Mysterious Monadnocks

Discover why Panola Mountain is such a fragile and unique ecosystem. We will examine several aspects of the mountain from the geological process that made it 300 million years ago through the erosion and weathering that brought Panola to the surface to the unique habitat that covers it today. Recommended Ages: 8-14

This program is a ranger led hike that covers approximately 1.5 miles and is moderately strenuous.
Participants must wear closed toed shoes with good grip and bring plenty of water.
