Coastal Georgia experiences relaOvely large, regular high and low tides. Join us for a short walk and talk on the
tides and hear about the forces that cause this phenomenon and its ecological benefit to our coast. Meet at the Big Ferry Trail.
Please wear shoes that you do not mind getting wet or muddy as the trails can flood at high tide.
This hike is accessible to visitors who require mobility assistance. Thanks to our partnership with the Aimee Copeland Foundation, an Action Track Chair is now available for reservation at Skidaway Island State Park.
Reservations are limited to certified users. Eligibility requirements must be met to qualify for certification. Please visit allterraingeorgia.org for more information about becoming certified and making reservations.
Getting certified is easy and approval takes about 7 days.
All reservations must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
