Status: Archived Bear Hair Gap trail is a 4.1-mile partial loop over the lower ridge of Blood Mountain with an overlook of the park. The trail travels onto the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Travel time 2 – 4 hours
Medium difficulty with a 12% grade in places.
Bear Hair Gap trail is not ADA accessible.

Meet at the Visitors Center.
Pets are allowed (Must be on a 6 ft. leash and waist must be picked up and disposed in a waist receptacle when we get back to Vogel State Park.).
Small children may have difficulty walking this trail.
NOTE: Hunting season is still open in Chattahoochee National Park, so wear bright colors. Wear cold weather clothing and sturdy hiking shoes. Bring water and a snake. Hiking sticks advised but not required.
