Diamorpha Days: Sunset Hike

Diamorpha smallii is in bloom! Endemic to the Southeast US, this gorgeous red succulent fills Panola Mountain's solution pits during the month of March. Expect beautiful photo opportunities and end with a campfire and s'mores!

Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. Register in advance.

This is a moderately strenuous hike covering approximately 3 miles, with significant elevation changes and uneven terrain. Ages 10 and up. Groups of 10 or more must register for a private hike. Meet at Nature Center. Reservations are nonrefundable. Participants must give at least 24 hours notice if they need to reschedule. Transfer credits will only be applied to a similar program. This is a rain or shine event! In the case of severe weather, the park may deem it necessary to cancel or reschedule the hike. Park staff will notify registered participants of any change of plans prior to the event. If there are no sign-ups by the end of the day prior to the hike, the park reserves the right to cancel the program.
