Wander through the woods as tiny lights twinkle around you, guiding your way under the starry sky. Join a Ranger, as we walk along a moderate to strenuous nature trail looking for firefly species and other night creatures. If we are lucky, we may see synchronous fireflies. Event suitable for ages 8 and up. Please register using the link below.
Did you know that fireflies are natural indicators of healthy ecosystems? We'll talk about their importance in nature, how to identify them, and what you can do to attract them to your back yard. You'll even learn how to signal your own name like a firefly using Morse code, and write your name like fireflies with glow in the dark paint using the braille alphabet.
Limited spaces available. If this event is no longer listed on Eventbrite (link below), it is sold out.
