Drinking History - Welcoming the Guale

This event has already occurred.

Status: Archived
The Guale Indians who called these coastal marshes home used a variety of plants to prepare helpful herbal "teas". Discover the history and usage of spruce and yaupon, two of the most commonly imbibed teas among the Native tribes.

An additional $1 is required to sample the prepared teas. This fee helps cover the cost of materials and aid in future programming needs.

November is Native American Heritage Month. Fort King George is offering several educational programs honoring the Muskogean-speaking peoples of the area.
