Please note the time change on September 21st. This program will now be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
Diamondback terrapins are the only turtles that live in the brackish waters in the tidal marshes and creeks along the coast of Georgia. Now considered a "species of concern," the diamondback terrapin suffered from a decrease in population due to past over-harvesting. Presently, coastal development contributes to the destruction of their habitat. Additional threats include traffic and predators.
